The Fuji-san Climb - after

The Mt. Fuji climb journal entry(Sept 15 - Sept 16)

me after the climb

AFTER: SOGGY AND COLD

So this is me, after the climb. It is 5 or 6am. I am SO COLD, you wouldn't believe. Every single article of clothing on me is SOAKING WET. Do you know the smell of wet wool? Well, it's not too pretty, let me tell you.

Jon after the climb

AFTER: SOGGY AND COLD TOO

And this is Jon, after the climb. I think he was as wet as me, but I beat him in the coldness factor, I'm pretty sure. We wanted to take these pictures FAST because we were so darn cold and if I stayed in those clothes for one more minute than I had to... man, it was cold. Of course, we were twits, and only brought shorts and t-shirts to put on afterwards, since we were planning on spending the day in Kamakura, which happens to be NOT in the mountains.

the rules
BROKEN RULES

Because the picture isn't so clear, the rules are:

1. Avoid climbing during bad weather.
2. Take refuge at nearby huts when lightning, strong wind or heavy rain occurs.
3. Do not stray from the route.
4. Do not run when descending.
5. Beware of falling rocks.
6. Do not climb when tired.
7. Be careful and enjoy a safe climb.
And we're proud to say we broke every single one!
