Hino

Good ol' Hino

HINO

So this is where I live... HINO!!! Oh, it's a big party town, that's for sure! Let's see... here you can see the hills in the background - they're all over the place. I guess Hino is kind of where the hills begin, since Tokyo itself is on a plain (the largest plain in Japan, I believe). What else... um, the Asakawa river is closeby, and so are the train stations, etc. I took this picture about 3 blocks away from my house, uh, that's it!

A View of Hino
A VIEW OF HINO

So this was taken really early on - like my second weekend or something. I was exploring the place. This is taken from one of the nearby hills. I saw a mysterious staircase leading up to a mysterious building - far off on one of the hills. So I decided that I *must* discover what lay over yonder, near the staircase. So I went, I discovered, and I took pictures. This is one of em.

ANOTHER VIEW OF HINO

So this is actually taken from the same spot, but in another direction, I think. It's looking over Hino, and the surrounding area. Lots of houses, huh. You can see the Asakawa (the river) there, if you look closely. Also, you could probably see me place, but only if you had a magnifying glass...

A Hino Moonrise

MOONRISE IN HINO

Well, I guess this looked much nicer in reality than it does in the picture, but that doesn't matter. Um, this is a typical scene in Hino. Ya know, a field here and there, and buildings around. Quite nice actually.

THE ASAKAWA (lit. "Shallow River")

This is the river that I run by every day. It's really nice. Shallow, as the name implies. Actually, it must be at least 20kms long, I'm sure. One end of it is in Hino, where it meets the Tamagawa (Tama River). But I've never gone to the other end, probably because it's so far away! Maybe one day...
