Well, this didn't turn out so great... but in real life it was amazing. I could see Fuji-san so clearly... and the sun was shining in a perfectly odd way. Ah well. Plus, earlier on, that annoying cloud wasn't in the way. But anyways, you may get the point at how close I am to Fuji-san. Usually, I can't see it at all - it's only on the clear days. I'd say on average 3 days over 2 weeks I it's visible. That's pretty good, I guess since from Tokyo you can't hardly ever see it.
THE BIB DUDE Ok, I'm calling this guy the "bib dude", but that's only because I'm not exactly sure what his purpose is, or any of his lookalikes. You find these guys hangin around your local temple/shrine - usually near the cemetary part. For instance, this bib dude is up in the grave section of the temple near my place. Very cool place indeed. And there are lots of the bib dudes - he's not alone or anything. But I really don't know if red is his colour.
THE VIEW FROM MY APARTMENTOk, noone ever said that my view was actually any good... but it could be worse (right, Jason?). Anyways, this is what I see if I stand on my balcony and look to the right. There are 2 apartments beside mine, then the street, then that house across the way. If I'd taken this picture at the right moment, you could probably see a JR Chuo line train going by, since it's close enough to actually shake my apartment. But I'm used to that now.
MY BIKE! And now for what you've all been waiting for... my bike! Yes, this is it. And this is what 99% of Japanese people ride as well, right down to the basket. Serious! Anyways, at first I thought it was a bit silly, you know, since it's not quite like my good ol' mountain bike at home. But now I've completely warmed up to the thing. Sure, there are no gears, but hey, it's got a rack on the back so I can double ride!
